The season of holidays has passed, but conferences, end of school year, teacher presents, birthdays, weddings and other parties are still on. Here are a few really cool AND free resources I’ve adapted from an educator site and helped spice up the normal print job I get from my PC.
Starting with cool fonts:
At FontSquirrel, you can download up to 20,000 beautiful free fonts. I’ve looked the website up for inspiration when I needed to create invitations or posters and just copied freehand the design.
You can also find website fonts for free there, as well as create your own font with the font generator or the font-face kits.
Next get some really cool images
Compfight is a search engine for visual inspiration that provides you with the Creative Commons licensed photos. And guess what? It’s got a WordPress plugin.
and some awesome colors
At ColourLovers, you get to share palettes, shades, and designs as you would pics on Flickr or web interest on Pinkerest. You can use your find and creations on paper and online for your website. Awesome stuff.
