Seuss Decorations

Next week, Seussical The Musical is coming to town and rocking the Poway Center for Performing Arts. On Saturday, the special tickets get to enjoy the VIP Reception, otherwise known as The Gala. Everyone is pitching to create some fun decorations for the room.

Seussical rocks:
Rocks from your backyard,

Paints from your kids’  craft tub

For inspiration, you really need only to borrow a book from your local library if you don’t have a Dr. Seuss book at home, or just google Seuss images on your phone.

I used the color scheme on “Oh The Places You’ll Go”

and with some free spirit and a couple of paint brushes, you get:


I stopped by Michaels 2 weeks ago and went through their clearance bins. I grabbed a few paper lanterns at ridiculously low prices and found some colored papers with similar colors. Thanks to my trusty handy smartphone, I googled some Seuss fishes and draw them on the colored paper.

Add a hole, thread a colored ribbon and attach to the paper lantern. The lanterns will be hanging from the ceiling. Fun, fun, fun!
